Last Tuesday, the Stringdusters released our 5th studio album, titled Let It Go. It's far and away the best thing the 5 of us have ever made together. This week I'm back in Nelson County with an afternoon show on Sunday, April 6th at Blue Mountain Brewery in Afton, VA. The second leg of the 'Dusters record release tour kicks off in Denver April 11 with two nights at the Ogden Theater and finishes at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. In May Sunliner will hit the stage for our second time at The Southern in Charlottesville, VA in support of Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers and again in Richmond at the Dominion River Rock Festival.
February 22 Ski Tour Recap
How time flies, we find ourselves on the last two nights of our most epic ski tour yet. Highlights: great skiing and hanging at Big Sky Big Grass, early tram with ski patrol at Jackson Hole and some of the best turns of my life in Telluride. We always encounter some of our best audiences in ski towns and this tour was no exception. The 'Dusters embark on our Let It Go Album Release Tour in a few weeks and we're happy to announce that the first music video has dropped at CMT.com. Looking like the next solo shows will be in late May and June. Stay tuned and stay upright.
January 29 What's Next?
Saturday I'll play the final show of the Alice Release Tour at Democracy Vineyards. It's been very fun, challenging and illuminating playing this music so much over the last three weeks but there's other irons in the fire that need attention. First and foremost, the 'Dusters are headed out on Ski Tour in February before our record release tour in March and April. Sarah and I are continuing to write and rehearse music for our project, Sunliner. We'll be doing some regional touring in May and recording in June. I hope to play another run of solo shows in June, if you don't want to miss them, sign up on my mailing list. There are also more StageIt shows in the works and I'm writing and conceptualizing another solo record. Thanks for the ongoing support, stay upright. Travis
January 14 Record Release!
Today Alice is finally available. I've got a basket full of pre-orders headed to the post office and tonight I'll be at Monkeyclaus Studio broadcasting a live show from 10-11pm on StageIt. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen, but most thanks goes to my wife Sarah. Photos, design, and complete setup of the release, she did it all. Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight on StageIt.
